Marriage License Signing on Long Island
Sometimes couples are looking for an officiant to help make it “official” … and that’s it. I can legally solemnize your marriage by simply signing your NY State marriage license.
Whether you already had a symbolic ceremony abroad, you want to make it legal before your big wedding celebration, a friend or family member without proper legal credentials officiated your ceremony, for health or medical reasons, or a variety of other circumstances - follow these steps to have your marriage legally solemnized:
Obtain a marriage license from any clerk’s office in the state of New York - at least 24 hours in advance, but no more than 60 days ahead of time.
Set a time and place to sign the license with me.
Bring 1 or 2 adult witnesses - only one is legally required, but there are two spots for witnesses to sign if you prefer. On occasion, I may be able to provide a witness for you.
We can simply put pen to paper and sign your marriage license together, or if you prefer, have the simplest of ceremonies: a ring exchange, vows, and marriage license signing. Depending on time, place, and other details, fees range from $85 - $250.
“We just needed a small signing ceremony and Danielle made the process as easy as possible for us. She was very sweet, personable, and an absolute delight to work with.” - Christy R.
